At the membership meeting on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, 5:00 pm, the membership will address questions concerning the upcoming AFGE National Convention scheduled for August 2024. The meeting will be hosted on Zoom and a link to the meeting will be disseminated to members when requested. Please contact Treasurer Kylie Johnson or President Robert James to request the link.
Local 2789 is entitled to one delegate to participate in the AFGE National Convention. The Local 2789 president is a delegate by virtue of the office to which he was elected. However, in the event the Local president is unable to attend the convention, the Local has decided to hold nominations for an alternate delegate. In addition, the membership will vote on the following matters
