AFGE determined Local 2789 is entitled to one delegate to participate in the AFGE National Convention in Orlando, Florida on June 20, 2022. According to the Local 2789 Constitution, the local president is a delegate by virtue of the office. As a result, the Local does not need to hold delegate elections. However, at the membership meeting on May 20, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Olcott Park in Virginia, MN, the membership will determine:
- If the local will participate in the AFGE National Convention.
- If the Local will fund the entitled delegate to attend the Convention.
